YBN Cordae is one of the most talked about emcees in the game right now, and for a reason. The young boss has racked up a grand total of 12 million views on two his remixes to Eminem’s “My Name Is” and J. Cole’s “1985” in a matter of months–the first two songs he’s ever released. As if that isn’t impressive enough, Cordae also laid down a freestyle for the L.A. Leakers show so fire that it would almost surely sound pre-written to an unaware listener. Wisely, he’s decided to put out the freestyle on all major streaming services.
The teenage rapper now returns with a new original track entitled “Kung Fu,” and it comes with visuals to match. The record proves that he’s not only mastered the art of spitting eye-opening bars, but also has full grasp on the more elusive skill of producing hit songs with undeniably catchy melodies.
The video itself is directed by Ace and shot/edited by Simon David, two of the YBN collective’s go-to creatives. It showcases Cordae and the rest of the gang alongside a variety of lavish cars and attractive females, two things that are surely in abundance for the three youthful entrepreneurs. See for yourself why YBN Cordae will soon be known as a great by watching his latest visual below, and learn more about him by peeping our full interview with him here.
