Two of hip-hops most underrated flamesmiths in Wiki & Your Old Droog team up for a great new project.

Today, New York bred MC’s Wiki and Your Old Droog are sharing a new collaborative EP. What Happened to Fire? The project is a 5 track joint effort that demonstrates a chemistry between Wiki and Droog that could only come from both artists sharing the same NYC roots. Narrated by found samples of Kool Keith, the focus of the EP for Wiki and Droog was having fun while putting down the best bars possible. The production throughout is elite, featuring legends like Black Milk, Statik Selektah and !llmind this 5 track EP surely packs a powerful punch.
The project coincides with an art installation under the same name which ran in A Consensus Noise, a show that took place at Romero Gallery in late 2016. What Happened to Fire? was recorded at Wiki’s Chinatown apartment as the installation was being formulated and displayed, and the art that accompanies the EP contains imagery from the gallery.
In addition to What Happened to Fire?, Droog’s next album PACKS will be releasing on March 10thand includes features from Wiki, Edan, Danny Brown, Chris Crack and Heems. Wiki will be performing live in New York on Friday at Brooklyn Bazaar, with tickets available now at wikset.nyc.
