Better stop rockin’ that fake Gucci! A new app called ‘Entrupy‘ was recently introduced to the App Store, and it can spot fake designer apparel within 15-20 seconds. An external scanner is used to scan logos into the app, which are then compared to certified authentic materials in an attempt to decide if the product in question is genuine.
The costly procedure carries a heavy price tag, ranging from $99 to over $1,000 depending on the level of usage. The product is aimed at eliminating the $1.7 billion dollars generated anually from the sales of counterfeit goods. Though its’ too expensive for personal usage, this technology will be very useful for thrift stores and second-hand dealers.
If you’ve got a few hundred bucks laying around, cop the scanner by clicking here & have fun exposing the fake flexers.
