The Book Of Eli : Ch 1is a mixtape from Eli, an emerging artist from Newport News, Virginia. This project tells the story of a boy navigating through the rough terrain we call life, in order to become the man he is today. From a soulful intro like "Genesis," to an emotional roller coaster like "Disclosure", Eli paints an immaculate picture of his humble beginning and his struggle to get to where he is today. The project's production by Heavencent's DJ LeoGrande was beautifully composed and well diverse. Using melodic riffs in songs like "Diamondz in the Ruff", while including heavy trap-style productions in songs such as "Bobby Bushay", this project can satisfy almost any musical apatite. Eli him self produced a couple of tracks as well which makes this project even more personal. Eli's transparent lyrics and heartfelt subject matters accompanied by features from Skeezo and Nia make for a perfectly balanced project.
