Lul Lion is quickly positioning herself as one of Tennessee’s next candidates to blow up after amassing a sizable and highly loyal cult following. “$tsla” shows off her diverse range of flows and vocals. She shines on low-key instrumentals where she rides over the beat with her velvety, somewhat monotone delivery that still manages to convey a breadth of emotion.

“$tsla” features a variety of impressive Tennesseeans, including Clarksville’s Tim Gent and Nashville’s Billy Blast, OGTHAGAWD, and Daisha McBride. This is an enjoyable listen from front to back and I am eager to see what Lul Lion has in her bag going forward.
