Chicago native and singer-songwriter Sydny August makes her ELEVATOR debut with her passionate single and resourceful visual for “Like That”. The Kansas University student got together with fellow classmates and alumni to create the music video for her inspired single off her acclaimed EP entitled August Project. Director Gary Lange and editor Jaiden Royal have been working together for a long time, as they are both now graduated film students from Kansas University. Lange and Sydny were connected through his girlfriend who is a classmate of Sydny’s.

The entire video is shot on campus and subliminally ties together August’s roots in the Windy City and her evolution as a person in her college years spent at Kansas University. Although she is distributed by United Masters, Steve Stoute’s latest innovation and distribution powerhouse, she has no strong commitment to staying independent. One thing is for sure, whether she signs or not – if she keeps making records like this Sydny August will be a household name.
