Yesterday afternoon, SwaVay quietly released his first single of 2021, the moody “Electric Slide.” He released it just thirty minutes after tweeting to his fans that he had a song for them:

“Electric Slide” sees SwaVay rapping about the struggles of his love life over production from rising Atlanta rapper and producer, RayMarc. SwaVay details how his and his ex’s hectic and busy lifestyles led to the relationship's demise, and, in a scolding manner, he reminds her that her new man will not treat her as greatly as he did. RayMarc sampled Mary J. Blige's “Everything” for the song's stripped-back instrumental.
As aforementioned, this is the first time fans have heard from SwaVay musically in 2021. He's preparing to release his sophomore studio album, Almetha’s Son, this spring, and this is just a teaser for what is looking to be the Atlanta native's breakout year.
