Arriving in style with a unique sound and some really fresh visuals, indie artist/producer/drummer Stix brings us "Nothing For Free". Running for 3 minutes and 59 seconds, it's a creative twist on RnB, but I hesitate to even label it; with its catchy Disco-like drums, moody Indie-like melody, and an array of other sound effects inspired by dozens of other genres, it produces a truly one-of-a-kind sound. This artist is trying to give us something original, and succeeds at this with flying colors, literally and metaphorically.

The music video, directed and produced by Peter Cottontale and Todd Baret, is cinematic and matches the tone of the song very well, with cuts of him vibing out in a club, riding around in his whip, and performing in a cool room with a chopper. It is colorful and fun but doesn't take away from the feeling of the song at all. With the mellow, psychedelic beat and the distinctive flow and delivery from Stix, the track brings us everything we need to hear. Covering Stix's past and many of the trials he's faced in his life, and doing it in a very dope, sonically good manner, this track is definitely one that you want to hear, and the video doesn't lack either.
