“It’s a hundred racks when I touch a stage, how could I ever get nervous?” – Skepta

Who would’ve thought that Brooklyn based rapper Pop Smoke‘s “Welcome to the Party” was going to be the perfect fit for Skepta to hop on. Personally, this is one of Skepta’s best verses, considering the vibe of the track conveys this grunge-grime sound that London’s underground rap scene has always withheld.

Produced by 808Melo, who is also based out of the U.K., this move was only more than appropriate. This feature follows Nicki Minaj‘s remix although in my opinion, this version takes the crown above Nicki’s, keeping in mind that Skepta’s cutting edge approach is one that is proper, yet hard hitting with a particular charisma that he is known for bringing to the table. The wordplay on this track is simply immaculate, and I’m afraid this might be an understatement.
