SAINt JHN by Joshua Sowemimo
SAINt JHN is on his third tour. The Brooklyn native is on his IGNORANt FOREVER Tour which kicked off in Miami.
The 19-city trek hits Philadelphia, Toronto, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more before coming to a close in New York City.
He brought the vibes to Atlanta on Saturday night, playing Center Stage on West Peachtree Street. Rival Entertainment and Milk & Cookies presented the show. Center Stage is a mid-sized concert complex comprising three separate venues. Originally known as Theatre Atlanta, the concert hall was built in memorial to a young theater enthusiast. Upon its opening in the fall of 1966, the building functioned as a performing arts theater, but has since become primarily music-focused.
Kodie Shane opened up the evening, playing hometown hero as she has just released a new single called “2 Many”, now streaming everywhere on Epic Records.

Shirtless, SAINt JHN controlled the mic without a live band. The flashing screen behind him boasted a unique, brand-centric image: two demons, gendered as women, on either side of a burning cross, submerged in water. A sort of inception style proceeding emphasized their presence on the screen behind him as he rapped the music. Later on, images of skulls and all-red figures popped up on the screen. The text GHETTO LENNY also popped up on the screen throughout the show.

He went through the hits. His vocals stole the show. His live singing is very good.
Eventually, SAINt JHN grew tired of the stage and moved the concert to the pit. He was in the front of the house when he launched into “Trap” featuring Lil Baby. There he stood in the thick of the action. He performed “Trap” not once, but four times. Every time he performed the song, he had twice as much energy than he did the last time. Every artist should have this kind of energy when performing.
At the end of the show, he came out into the crowd and had everyone get on their knees to lead everyone in prayer.

Antonio Tubbs – SAINt JHN‘s “E & Turtle” – and Kareem “Biggs” Burke were in the building as well to watch SAINt JHN. Burke was in the crowd watching with the audience. K Camp was in the building as well.
