Rising singer-songwriter, Young Shann gets personal with the release of her much-awaited debut single, "Better"’. Produced by platinum-certified producer, W$ Kharri, the track displays the emotions of the Virginia-raised songstress as she delves into the good and bad that comes with being in a conflicted relationship. Throughout the track, Shann lyricizes the war between her head and her heart as she knows what's best for her but she still struggles to end things. To further speak on the song and it's meaning, Young Shann states:

“I really wanted to explain how it feels to deal with a guy after you see red flags. Sometimes we find ourselves giving more than we are receiving. The ups and downs in relation can get stressful, but it wouldn't be if time, love, and effort were reciprocated back to us."

The visuals for "Better" is directed by Brittney Briggs courtesy of Common Courtesy Studios. Shot in Brooklyn, NY, the video begins with Shann on the subway with her significant other as she reminisces the better times of their relationship as she’s going through the motions about staying with him. At the end of the video, Shann realizes and comes to the conclusion that she’s better off keeping to herself and leaves him as the subway stops.
