Chicago has been a breeding ground for creative talent for decades. Perhaps one of the most impressive collectives to emerge from the city in recent years is Pivot Gang, the familial unit has its own code for the studio as they make clear on their clever new single, “Studio Ground Rules”. The anthemic new offering features Pivot staples Saba, Frsh Waters, and MfnMelo trading precise flows over a subdued instrumental that compliments each emcee’s unique delivery. The talented trio list off their studio rules including “Don’t call next on 2k”, in an early contender for what may be the most relatable line of 2019.
Pivot is gearing up for a full-length project in the near future and seems content to flood the streets with sensational singles. Their latest also gets the vibrant video treatment as the group continues to outwork the competition with quantity and quality.
