Armen Tsatou, born on July 3rd, 2001, is a genre-bending multi-hyphenate artist with experience in professional videography, video editing, music producing, and graphic design. Creating a public figure presence on Instagram topping +11,000 followers on Instagram, his influence on every medium of art would begin to manifest into the musical alias, Phonecase Greg. Phonecase Greg was born on the summer of 2016 with self-produced, mixed, and mastered singles dropping every month or so. After these singles unexpectedly topped +20,000 plays, it was clear to Greg that his music was loved and shouldn’t be taken for granted, as it was semi-serious at the time being. Music videos would start to top thousands of views, and a concrete fanbase was formed. Time would tell, and the top-grossing single would begin to top 90,000 plays, second grossing with 60,000 plays, and multiple other singles at 20,000 plays. It was clear to Phonecase Greg that his exclusive ethereal, cloud-rap, racecar trap style of music was attracting ears. This prompted Phonecase Greg to drop an EP, and eventually, the release of his official debut album Yokohama Turbo which released the day of writing this submission. Honing on his avante-garde cloudy swag sound, coupled with his close producer friend GravesTurismo’s mesmerizing instrumentals, the ground-breaking project was completed.

Yokohama Turbo is the first official debut project album of Phonecase Greg’s overall musical discography. Releasing July 3, 2020, it is an avante-garde celestial cloud-rap sonic masterpiece consisting of racecar-theme trap beats and instrumentals entirely produced by fellow friend and talented producer GravesTurismo, along with two songs on the project being co-produced by Phonecase Greg himself under producer alias DJ Hippo Neck. With never before heard flows and lyrical craftsmanship, topped with an eccentric energy-booming sound, a genre-bending project comprised of Bollywood samples and ‘turbo-core’-esque melodies, Yokohama Turbo is no doubt the perfect debut project for Phonecase Greg’s founded legacy, out on all albums.
