Noname is in a league of her own.

Noname‘s creativity knows no bounds, that much is clear. Her latest album, Room 25 should be at the top of nearly every yearly best-of list, and for good reason. The diverse album is an in-depth look into the mind and heart of the enigmatic artist.

Today, the Chicago creative has released a visual to go with one of the project’s standout singles. “Blaxploitation” is an energetic instrumental surrounded by poignant bars that force listeners to hang on each syllable as Noname delivers rhymes at a dizzying pace. The track’s theme follows the plight of being black in America, something that hasn’t changed much since the days of popular Blacksploitation films that Noname cleverly borrows the aesthetic for her track from. The visual is as immersive as fans have come to expect from the poetic young artist and seems sure to have viewers running it back to catch the whole story.
