With the calendar flipping to June, we have what could be a huge summer of releases to look forward to. Danny Brown, EarthGang and JID are all confirmed to be releasing new albums over the next few months, while signs point toward Kendrick Lamar dropping as well. MadGic drop off new single "Mafia Music"

MadGic -- the brand new joint project consisting of rapper Logic and producer Madlib -- have released yet another single on Logic's Youtube channel. Entitled "Mafia Music," Madlib contributes a serreane, luxurious sounding instrumental while Logic brings some nostalgic bars, reflecting on how his life has changed since he made it in the rap game. 

At the beginning of this joint, Logic said the two not only have an entire album in the vault, but that it was also completed in a single night. Time will tell whether MadGic will release the entire project, or if it will be available on streaming services. For now, get in tune with "Mafia Music" below.

T.I. announces new album, retirement plans

Few rap artists have been embroiled in as much controversy as T.I. in recent months. At the beginning of 2021, Sabrina Peterson, a former friend of the Atlanta rapper, shared an Instagram post accusing him of holding a gun to her head, according to hiphopdx. In March, news broke that T.I. and his wife Tameka were hit with a defamation lawsuit from Peterson, who also shared sexual abuse allegations from more than 30 women against the couple.

Now, the self-proclaimed King of the South has announced his upcoming final studio album, Kill The King, in a new visual posted on his Instagram account on Tuesday, June 8.

In the video, which is for an accompanying single entitled "What It's Come To," Peterson can be heard saying, "Tell the truth about me. Tell the truth and apologize, and I’m gone. Here’s the other stipulation — do it within seven days. Within seven days, tell the truth, apologize and I’m gone.”

At the end of the video, the cover art appears along with the words "The Final Album Coming Soon" appearing at the bottom of the screen.

Pooh Shiesty turns himself in for shooting incident

Pooh Shiesty turned himself into authorities at the Miami-Dade County Jail on Tuesday, June 8 after a shooting that took place at a Miami strip club, according to a hiphopdx report. 

The incident in question took place on May 29 inside the King of Diamonds gentleman's club where Shiesty fired his weapon, according to the report.

According to an Instagram video taken by a fellow club patron, Shiesty allegedly had $40,000 stolen from his pants pocket, after which time he fired his gun. According to the Miami Herald, the "Back In Blood" rapper ended up shooting a security guard in the leg.

Shiesty is currently being held without bail on an aggravated battery charge.

Kanye West celebrates birthday by debuting new fashion line

Rap legend Kanye West celebrated his 44th birthday Tuesday, June 8, by launching the first product from his long anticipated Yeezy Gap clothing line, kicking off his 10-year deal with the Gap clothing brand.

The first release, a baby blue, wide-fitted jacket which can be pre-ordered for $200, is expected to begin shipment this fall.

According to a USA Today report, the jacket sold out in a matter of hours. It remains unclear when the rest of the clothing line will make its debut.

Migos announce new album, drop tracklist

Fans will not have to wait much longer for a brand new Migos project. The Atlanta group have announced their new upcoming project Culture lll, set to drop Friday, June 11. Clocking in at 19 tracks, Culture lll also has a jam-packed feature list, as Drake, Cardi B and Future, among others, will all appear on the project. View the tracklist in full below.
