It's clear why mynameisntjmack is starting to turn heads: his approach to music isn't governed by the customary rules, and this is something you can hear in his sound. His new EP “bookmark” seals that concept, a six-track project featuring guest appearances from Tommy Richman and Kwame Adu. He arguably uses art as a form of therapy, to help him face life's challenges and become the best version of himself he can be. This inimitable combination leads us to believe that great things lie ahead for mynameisntjmack.
“This project was recorded over the course of the past year and a half in between both New York and LA. Originally I had planned on dropping a tape of “throwaways” that weren’t going to be on a larger body of work, but as I took a step back I realized that these songs were truly indicative of the experiences I went through on the way to my “next step”. This “bookmark” serves as a mirror, a reflection of myself that I needed to see before I could think about the next chapter.”
