Myke Bogan has been on my radar since his 2017 album release “Pool Party”, with “Take The Nite Off” being one of my favorites from that project to be specific. Excitingly enough for me and many others, he’s been consistent with his craft & continuing his expansion at a supercharged rate, even through life’s changes. In lieu of his upcoming album “Cult Beauty” set to drop on October 18th, Myke has released a two-part official music video for “Jolly/No Peace” which are two tracks featured on the album.

Directed by Timslew of Soundlapse, the intimate visual reveals the light & softer side of Myke, a lover who is devoted to being vulnerable & a giver while also highlighting the dark, rugged & grungy side of his personality and who he is as an artist. The transition between the two sides takes on this new form of simplicity mixed with complexity, creating a medium that is interesting to say the least. On one hand, we have being open & feeling safe with that special someone at the forefront while on the other hand, we have this fearlessness & non-conformist attitude that throws a huge middle finger to societal norms. This concept is quite a testament into who Myke truly is, which in my opinion makes him stand out deliberately in his own way.
