MUGEN! The Human's rise through Chicago's hip-hop scene has been interesting to watch over these last few years. While he has become known for his lo-fi brand of sad rap, he is also not afraid to murk a boom bap beat, showing a deep appreciation for underground mainstays such as MF DOOM.

Now, he is back with a new single, a remix of Lil Yachty's song "Cortex." Here, MUGEN! takes on one of hip-hop's most iconic samples and does it justice, blending his usual relaxed flow with some butter smooth wordplay and of course, a heaping dose of honesty.

Now a father and family man, MUGEN! The Human sounds more comfortable than ever with his place in life, and that contentment is shining through in his music as well.
