The Silver Surfer is back. Max B aka Max Biggavelli, aka The Wavy One, aka the Silver Surfer is back with his first new single in over 8 years. The Harlem legend decided to celebrate his 41st birthday by dropping off a groove for the clubs. “Hold On” is a poppy yet smooth track that brings along one of Max B’s closest collaborators, French Montana. Though the Paul Couture-produced track is filled with the melodic energy Max B honed during his original ascent, Biggavells makes some scalding social commentary. After an apologetic first verse Max spits:
“Think its a joke, niggas is overdosin’ on dope Damn, nigga on parole I can’t smoke, can’t cope Every time I look up, I’m in trouble with the law Need a new suit Dave got a 22, snuck it in the school Number one rule, baby look Damn it, another Sandy Hook.”
According to Rolling Stone, this is just the first splash of new waviness we will be getting from Max. Check out ‘Hold On’ now. Free Max B.
