Fresh off a killer headlining set at the Governors Ball in New York City, Lorde returns with a new single ahead of her forthcoming album release on June 16th. Titled “Sober,” the radio-ready track finds the New Zealand songstress gracing a progressive set of production with her distinct, alluring vocals.
“I’ll never forget writing the first demo, it was like a trance. I guided Jack to the chords almost wordlessly with my hands on his shoulders,” she said via Twitter, “This song was so important to me because it felt like pop music I hadn’t heard before.”
