Pro Era producer Kirk Knight released his sophomore album, Black Noise yesterday. The album, which is instrumental in nature, is a decided deviation from his debut Late Knight Special which found the Brooklyn-native spitting over his own beats with some impressive features for good measure. No such features are found on this tape. As Kirk creates a sonic landscape all his own with each note building on the one previous in an almost symphonic fashion. While normally I refrain from comparing artists, this album feels more like something out of Madlib‘s vault than that of a twenty-one year old producer, albeit a prodigious one. So grab the aux cord nearest you, call your plug and enjoy some Black Noise below.
