How bad does Nike wish they just paid up at this point? Hindsight being 20/20, they should’ve done whatever it took to keep Kanye West under the umbrella. If I remember correctly, the dispute was Nike wanted to give Ye a lump sum to create more iterations of the Yeezy line, and all he wanted was a percentage of the sales as royalties. Seemed pretty fair, considering the Red Octobers were fetching like $90k on eBay at one point and I don’t remember any pair of Jordans ever creating that level of buzz. Fast forward, and the Adidas Yeezy line killed, and so did both Pusha T models which probably would have been Roshe Runs of some sort had they been dropped through Nike. Regardless, it all went down and now we have Kanye dropping a diss track on Phil Knight. #facts
