Chicago based producer and artist duo Kaecee & Poorneck released their debut album together called Leaders. Kaecee and Poorneck works kind of like a NAV and Metro Boomin type of pair. Kaecee did all of the vocals and Poorneck executively produced the sound on the album. The album is based on the idea of being a leader in society. For the creative duo, this mainly takes place among their peers and friends. "Me and Poorneck are Leaders but in our own lifestyle, that’s what sets us apart. Leaders aren't only about leading in big decisions but just being a leading character within your friend group can really get you far places and up your situation in your community/daily life” Kaecee expressed.

The duo’s sound is inspired by today’s mainstream hip hop artists like Lil Skies, Pierre Bourne, Juice Wrld, and TravisScott to name a few. You can hear these influences throughout the album. The project features Poorneck’s vibey and spacey instrumentals that give Kaecee enough room to do his thing. Kaecee’s unique tone and follow are showcased throughout the project. From upbeat bangers like “Leverage” to slow jams like “Ghost Town”, the project encompasses multiple sounds and styles that could appeal to a large audience of listeners. Stream Leaders below!
