Joey Purp has made his long-awaited return to the game with his latest album QUARTERTHING. Purp had been quiet for an extended amount of time except for a loose single earlier in March of this year.

His latest project is a triumphant return to stardom with a cast of A-Listers beside him, including features from two members of the Wu Tang Clan. However, it’s the solo cuts like “Hallelujah”, “Bag”, & “Paint Thinner” that have me smashing the replay button most often. Purp also grabs fellow rising stars Rayvn Lenae & Cdot Honcho for some memorable features. Purp’s return to music is a welcome one. In an industry filled with copycat artists, Purp is a uniquely authentic artist that doesn’t play by the same set of standards.
