It’s a Chicago affair as Joey Purp returns today with the first drop off of his upcoming project iiiDrops, with fellow Chicago musicmakers Saba and theMIND. It’s titled “Cornerstore,” and rides a stellar instrumental from Thelonious Martin, who’s lent a hand by Peter Cottontale, JP Floyd and Knox Fortune on the boards, as well as yung Donnie Trumpet on the horns.
Overall, it’s a well-rounded record that definitely has us excited for Purp’s impending album.
