London based singer, producer, and songwriter James Blake performed live for KCRW this week, offering his supporters an intimate, live look at some select tracks from his latest LP Assume Form. This was one of my first glimpses of Blake’s voice in a live setting and it is very full-bodied and raw, even untouched by a final master. Watching Blake recreate the dense and lavish production in this setting was also nothing short of impressive.
