Jacquees revealed that he signed a deal with Cash Money after a chance phone call with Rich Homie Quan’s dad, who happened to be sitting with Birdman at the time. The Atlanta singer says that he played his track “Soldier,” which features Quan, and it scored him a meeting with Birdman, who later signed him.Speaking more about his relationship with Rich Homie Quan, the singer says that they really clicked when they met back up in the studio a few years ago and recorded some great music together. In the next segment, Jacquees revealed that he started out as a rapper like Quan, but says that he really identifies as a singer but would make an exception for the BET cypher. Check out Jacquees’ full interview below.
