When it comes to artists that are naturally talented at witty lyricism and intricate rhyme schemes, there aren't many artists coming up that merge the two quite as effortlessly as Isaac Zale. The artist out of Vancouver, formerly known as Zac Flewids, has been known for his ingenuity when it comes to crafting his verses while painting elaborate pictures with his words. Today Isaac released his debut album None of the Keys Fit, which covers the intense feelings of anxiety, depression, and substance abuse he has faced throughout his life. The accurately titled project brings listeners into Isaac Zale's mind as he brings them into the story that mimics the emotional internal battle that comes with a panic attack. The album then calms down as Isaac and producer Cherry Blu guide the audience through their immersive sonic journey.
The album features Chuuwee (“Oracle”), fellow Vancouver artist Eric Reprid (“F a Friend”), and one of Isaac’s most frequent collaborators Mick Jenkins (“Seeds”). Anytime Isaac and Mick record a song, it results in a song exuding personality and always resonating with its listeners, and “Seeds” is no different. Isaac's range is on full display throughout the album, including on the emotional “Hannah’s Ballad,” where Isaac croons metaphors about his past substance abuse issues. The album ends with “Zac Flewids / Isaac Zale,” a track that touches on Isaac's stages to get to this moment.
