Well, ain’t this some shit. Look’s like we’re getting a new basketball league this year with some familiar faces. On June 24th, Ice Cube’s BIG3 league will begin, and it will have two teams of three go at it on the court. The league will allow retired professional players aged 30 and over to join. Some of the notable names that have already committed include Allen Iverson, Kenyon Martin, Jason Williams, Chauncey Billups, and more. 4-point shots will be included as well so this should definitely be interesting to watch. A lot of these guys still have some juice in them to continue playing just not at the NBA level, so this should be a great alternative. I have a feeling this league will grow pretty quickly depending on the success of the first season. It’s damn near NBA Jam with 1 extra man on the floor.
