The underground music scene in the DMV area has been bubbling recently, and Goonew and Lil Dude are both rappers at the forefront of this new wave. This past week, the duo linked up and dropped their collaborative mixtape, Homicide Boyz 2, and two days later they dropped the music video “Real Steppers.”

If I had to describe the video with one adjective, it’d be purple. Throughout the video, the rappers and extras wear purple clothing as they walk around purple buildings. The video is shot on one set and features camera angles and effects that many modern music videos have today. Goonew and Lil Dude rap about how successful they are in several aspects of their life over a Mannyvelli-produced beat, which justifies their popularity in the DMV area.
