It didn’t take long for Xavier Wulf to continue releasing music, as his latest album “East Memphis Maniac” hit the internet late last month. Wulf’s confrontational and aggressive lyrics and his ability to covey vivid imagery and stories makes for wildly entertaining and replayable music. Maso’s beat is perfect for Wulf’s style, as he perfectly matches his own pitch with the crescendoes of the sample. “Whiplash’d” is a fitting title for the track as the stop and go nature of Wulf’s cadences and their almost reckless nature seem conducive to whiplash. Xavier Wulf can’t miss lately. Request Refused, East Memphis Maniac, and now Whiplash’d have all been incredible and I am eager to listen to whatever he has for us next.
