In only a matter of six months, Lake Worth, FL-based rapper $NOT has become one of the most sought after rappers in his state. Following his breakout single “GOSHA”, which has amassed over 15 million streams across the web, the elusive artist has continued his rise with “Excuse Me” and shows no signs of letting up.

As his release “Excuse Me” became another clear fan favorite as well as a viral Tik-Tok soundtrack, he’s given in to fan pressure and released a new song titled “AMNESTY”. “Lately I’ve been contemplating about my life. I sleep by the day and then I stay up in the night,” followed by an exhausting sigh might show signs that the stoic rapper is giving his fans a look into what is going on behind the emotionless internet persona they know and love. With so little publicly known about $NOT, the song’s lyrics act as a window into the world that he is currently living in.

With his career beginning to skyrocket in the way we have seen time and time again with aggressive yet emotionally relatable artists in the past few years, this might be an early sign that there is more to $NOT than what meets the eye. As he’s already proved his ability to turn sample driven trap beats into records that work in both the club as well as in the background of teenagers across the country’s memes, it is shaping up more and more with each release that there is something timeless brewing up in the mind of the secretive rapper.
