FKA twigs recently dropped off her latest video “Sad Day.” Directed by Hiro Murai, known for his work with Donald Glover on Atlanta and Guava Island, the nearly 7-minute cut is a movie itself. With Murai not directing a video Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” they go all out with this visual.

"Sad Day" finds twigs engaging in sword combat with Teake, a dancer she cast via social media; the pair zip around empty London streets before a finale that veers into surrealism. 

“Everything I’ve previously done with my body, all the training and dancing, has led to this point,” twigs stated on the song. She recently linked up with 645AR for their genre-bending collaboration called “Sum Bout U.” Earlier in the year, she collaborated with Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West for "Ego Death."
