LUCKI is a personal favorite of mine, as I’ve been listening since Freewave 3 (2019) and have not slowed down. His music makes you feel your emotions, but not get bogged down by them. He’s a major figure in the underground world, and he’s making waves now more than ever. He’s consistently dropping heat with tons of great producers, such as F1LTHY, Brentrambo, etc. and working with artists like Lil Yachty, Babyface Ray, and more. He also works with videographer LONEWOLF consistently, although this film is directed by Walker Flocker. His music is true to himself, fun, and insightful. nbsp;
Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, and he never forgets where he’s from, despite the major connections and cult fanbase that he’s cultivating. “Y Not” is a fun, energetic song that reeks of summertime vibes, but even through this sound, he hasn’t lost himself. Going bar-for-bar about his lifestyle, which has recently been a never ending thrill ride, but he still has not turned his back to the pain and troubles he’s endured. You can still hear the pain in his voice, as he says “Fly back to the 'Raq, she say it's pain in my voice”. The beat, produced by Bhristo, is vibrant and hard-hitting, with a groovy melody and thumping bass. The music video, released on June 14th, 2022, runs for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. It is trippy, fast-paced, and colorful, which is very representative of Walker Flocker’s style. With something like this, all we can do is patiently wait for him to drop “2NeptuneNBack”, which is his project that is (hopefully) coming out soon.
