Lil Bean is the San Francisco newcomer who has his whole city behind him and last week he released his album, forever grateful, via EMPIRE. After a breakout 2021, which saw the release of his acclaimed project, Still Campaignin’, and a star role on Zaytoven’s mixtape, Zaytoven Presents: Fo15, Lil Bean’s latest album serves as a thank you for the support.

The 14-track project is led by the single, “Goin Up,” featuring ZayBang and includes the previously released tracks, “sold out dates,” “4am” and “billie jean.” The “billie jean” video got a lot of love when it dropped earlier this month, being highlighted as some of the best new music by Pitchfork, The FADER and San Francisco Chronicle. Other highlights from the new album include appearances from fellow Bay Area favorites Rexx Life Raj and Larry June who appear on “Mixed Emotions” and “Good Vibe Music,” respectively. In addition to the album, Lil Bean dropped the official music video for “pull thru.”
