Living by the mantra, “The only limitations we have are the ones we set ourselves,” the Quebecois hip-hop artist Mindflip knows a thing or two about adversity. Born with Tourette’s Syndrome, he went from having a fear of being limited by his condition to using it to power his dreams.

“Exquisite” is a fun summertime song that will make you want to get up and dance. This song holds a special place in Mindflip’s heart because it was the first time that he had actually gotten into the studio with a producer to make a song. For previous songs, he purchased beats online but this was an entirely new experience as he watched Soké (Sean Paul, Dua Lipa, Diplo) build the beat from scratch – adding the different elements to create what we hear today.

"There was this other side of me that I had to share with my listeners/fans – the other side of my Gemini,” said Mindflip. “There’s always been a duality about me musically where I enjoy old-school hip-hop but also love dance music so I decided to put them together!”

With his forthcoming hybrid EP, Duality: The Life of a Gemini, Mindflip is introducing a new sound that will add more groovy drums and singing/melodic elements to his tracks while maintaining his smooth but intricate flows and signature 90’s/2000’s sound.
