When it comes to artistic expression, Cyrus Dobre is evolving as a highly creative, and curiously provocative figure. He’s pushing boundaries and much like his name (which means Sun, Lord, Heir to the Throne in different regions), he embodies all of the characteristics of greatness. He’s laser-focused while moving through the perimeter of pop culture—properly undefined—but layered with talent and a knack for captivating an audience.
Cyrus recently released the music video for "Bye, Bye" an electrifying neon circus directed by Roxana Baldovin, also known for her colorful work with Queen Naija, Steve Aoki, Doja Cat, Ceeradi, Kehlani, Lil Uzi Vert, and Trey Songz. The song is off his first solo project, an EP titled “Next Level” which taps into Cyrus’s imaginative and playful sides—revealing a poetic, even hypnotic version of the Maryland native whose expressions extend beyond the music. Produced entirely by longtime collaborator Eric Matamba (aka Laviedeeric) the EP is a hypnotic blend of R&B and Pop.
