South Central's newest purveyor of high vibrational Funk frequencies, Holland Izz, has connected with multi-platinum producer DeeJayWess and L.A. artist MCMRaymond for his in-pocket bop "Hit The Spot."
Equipped with waist-stirring bass guitar riffs, Holland Izz electrifies "Hit The Spot" with his patented synthesized vocals and stripped-down stylistic flows.
"Do anything jus to hit the spot," Izz croons on the opening chorus.
Holland Izz broke out in 2019 immediately following the release of his 11-track Stay Sunny album, and maintained the momentum up through 2021 via a string of singles such as his recent "Don't Take My Style" offering.
In a recent episode of Zane Lowe's apple music radio show, the New Zeland-bred, U.K.-based broadcaster compared Holland Izz' music to the 80's era of disco-tech fusion permeating from South Central L.A. — which was later popularized by artists such as Dr. Dre and Eazy-E and ended up serving as the founding bedrock of Gangsta Rap music.
"Compton is going back to like mid-to-late 80's Compton right now," Zane says in the clip.
