Chicago’s remarkable surplus of talent continues to amaze me. On Friday, The O’My’s, comprised of Chicago natives Nick Hennessey and Maceo Vidal-Haymes released a sonically beautiful eleven-track masterpiece, Tomorrow, the album’s title track is a slow building track that begins simply before blossoming into a sonically diverse soundscape.
The track is a microcosm of the album’s larger vision, encompassing a multitude of emotions into a condensed but cohesive narrative. Tomorrow is long awaited follow up to 2013’s A Humble Masterpiece. Now that the formalities are out of the way I’d like to declare their third album a masterpiece as well, no need to be humble.
