Case Arnold has been a friend and favorite of mine for years, and returns to our always-elevated pages with a tremendous new single in the form of “Strange Places.” Casey glides across the acoustic, slow-burning instrumental from Gourmet Grooves with ease, interweaving thoughtful lines and rhymes with catchy bars and that southern soul we’ve come to love and expect from him. Case’s music has that warming, friendly feel to it, welcoming in listeners as peers with common struggles rather than fans to an artist. Overall, it’s the latest in a landslide of great releases from Case, and is setting things up very nicely for his impending project So[u]l Theory.
Look out for more from the pride of Tennessee soon.
