Collaborations make the genre go ‘round, and that’s just the truth. Sure, cats like J. Cole have developed mythological status behind phrases like, “double platinum with no features,” but that’s not what pushes the needle forward. Mending styles and sounds is what helps to create new, fresh ideas and that’s exactly what Los Angeles natives, Big $wift & AzBenzz did on their new joint project, Gudda$wift.

At 7 tracks, Gudda$wift is the perfect sample size to see what the two artists can do together, which is create magic. Building on the buzz the received after their first single, “Now or Never,” the duo expand on that seductive, sultry sound by providing fresh takes on love, lust and everything in between.

While the tape boasts some dope features in AzSwaye and Rob Two, as well as undeniable chemistry between Benzz & $wift, the real star of the show is the producer,  Saltreze. Producing every track on the project but one — the intro — Saltreze lays down the absolute perfect sounds for $wift and Benzz to ride on. In short, this project doesn’t happen without him.
