Up-and-coming rapper Bobby Hendrixx is emulating what Country Grammar rapper Nelly is to the fabric of Hip Hop in St. Louis on his vibey new "In The Lou," record.
Utilizing a chopped-and-screwed sample of Nelly's 2002 hit-song "Pimp Juice," Bobby Hendrixx gives listener's a small glimpse of what it's like to link up with a country boy on "In The Lou."
With a catchy style that lies in between the entertaining theatrics of modern swag-rap, and traditional Hip Hop anchored by hard bars and fresh lyricism, Bobby channels the energy of numerous rap legends on records such as "In The Lou," he told Elevator.
"Nelly, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Mac Miller and Lil Wayne was huge for me growing up," Bobby Hendrixx says when asked about his musical influences. "He always had bars and metaphors that used to blow my mind as a kid lol. He was never afraid to try new sounds and genres which I think is a lot more acceptable in today's music than back then."
Growing up with a father who was also a DJ, Bobby Hendrixx fell in love with music at an early age, which prompted him to begin recording and writing music of his own on his father's equipment.
Nearly ten years later, Bobby is ready to unleash the extensive musical catalog he has in the vault and has already kickstarted his impending artist debut off the strength of his popular "Pull Up On A TikToker," release, among others. Stream Bobby Hendrixx's "In The Lou" below.
