Lil Nas X’s hit song “Old Town Road” will now feature veteran country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. The remix will be available to all streaming services at some point today (April 4th) according to Rolling Stone.

Lil Nas X’s song has seen its share of headlines from hit’s appearance on the app TikTok, to its arrival on three different Billboard charts, to the eventual removal of the song from Billboards Hot Country Songs charts.

Cyrus shared a lyric from the song on his Instagram account and addressed the controversy of the record saying, “Don’t try and think inside the box. “Don’t think outside the box. Think like there is no box.”

Critics have cited race as the cause for the removal of the song from Billboard’s chats; however, Lil Nas X believes the lack of understanding as the problem, speaking with Time magazine saying, “country trap. It’s not one, it’s not the other.”

The song will be re-released this Thursday on all streaming services.
