Big Sean is back to 100%.

Ah, Big Sean. I’m not lying when I say I was just wondering how he was doing hours before he announced his first new single on Twitter. The Detroit rapper dropped two new songs, “Overtime” and “Single Again” to mark his comeback and growth through self-love.

Sean’s last solo album, I Decided, was released back in February 2017. A year later he was slated to embark on his Unfriendly Reminder Tour but later cancelled it due to his wanting to remain in his creative mindset.

The 31-year-old recently began opening up about his mental health. In a slew of Instagram posts back in March, he discussed his battle with anxiety and depression as another reason for his tour cancellation and why he felt the need to take time off. “I stepped back from everything I was doing, everything I had going on, because somewhere in the middle of it, dawg, I just felt lost and I didn’t know how I got there,” he said.

Fast forward to today and he tweeted this, which is easily the best thing I’ve seen all week:

Celebrity or not, anyone who is able to listen to themselves enough to know that something is wrong and then take the necessary steps to get themselves back to 100% already has a level of self-love. Sean, if you see this, I am happy for you and proud of you.

I’m excited to see what else he has in store. In the meantime, peep Big Sean’s two new songs below.
