This pop-single "Better By July" is the first release by LAVENDERTOWN. The genre-bending track combines a bouncing pop production with hints of grinding beats, Latin taps, and hip-hop jives. LAVENDERTOWN has some impressive vocals, and the lyrics fight back against a non-committal partner who keeps dragging him around. He is over it, and the chorus sings, "Cause I/ Will probably have my shit together by July/ And you're stuck that way for the rest of your whole life/ And there's no chance you're ever gonna get it right."
