For as long as rap has been around, there have been artist/producer pairs that have undeniable chemistry with the music they make. An emerging duo in the world of SoundCloud rap is rapper paycheck and producer basedtj.

BasedTj made a name for himself two years back as his and 6Silky beat “6Silky & BasedTj 2016” and has been making a prominent name for himself since. In the past year, paycheck and tj have been building a catalog of SoundCloud gems like “daymare” and “bobain.” Over basedtj’s ethereal synths and uptempo drums, paycheck always seems to fall in the pocket of his beats and their chemistry together never fails.

Their latest release comes as a up beat record titled “Life We Live,” and is a must hear. On top of a mix of deep synths and tight percussion basedtj and paycheck flow seamlessly between a deep hook and fire verses. The two is continuing their winning streak with their latest release and we’re excited to see what they have in store for the remainder of the year.
