Interview with the super producer.

Yuni Morales
Writer

Atlanta has been a hub for consistent talent, rappers and super producers, for quite some time now and it doesn't seem like they are letting up anytime soon! There is definitely something in the water. Amongst the wave of talented super producers is Bobby Kritical. The Atlanta raised producer has worked with the likes of Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, Key! his most recent work is with K Camp on his third studio album Wayy 2 Kritical.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Bobby Kritical, it was short and sweet (like me haha)! Check it out below.

Who are some of your biggest influences?

I was a huge Shawty Redd, Drumma Boy, Fatboi and Zaytoven, Pharell fan back in the day lol, I used to just sit on YouTube and try to study them all day.

Besides the love of music, what drives you?

Raising my daughter really drives me, it gives me something to live and work hard for because I know she needs me.

What projects have you worked on that you thoroughly enjoyed producing/engineering?

I definitely loved working with Lil Uzi on Luv Is Rage 2 he’s creative as hell, and when me n Kamp worked on Wayy 2 Kritical, that was a big vibe.

Please elaborate on some of the most recent projects you've worked on lately: for example Future's project, K Camp's, and more.

Anytime I cook up with my bro Kamp it's always a vibe, whether we're drinking, gamblin', shooting pool or hitting up the club, that's how most ideas come to life, that's how the idea for Wayy 2 Kritical came along.

What is your overall goal in regards to your career in music.

I wanna go out as being one of the greatest to ever to it, of course, I'll be here forever though lol, I just wanna be able to take care of my family for generations to come.

What is some advice you would like to give up-coming producers?

Keep going no matter what anybody says about your craft, stay persistent, stay humble, and don't be scared to take dope opportunities.

What motivates you during these transitioning times?

I've always been able to make something out of nothing, the pandemic is just another day for me lol, at the end of the day we got to keep the lights on so the bills motivate me lol.

Understandable mentality, pandemic or not if you have the spirit to thrive, you will! I hope you enjoyed the interview with super producer Bobby Kritical, I wish to give creatives/upcoming producers more of a sense of direction.
