Lil Uzi Vert has been teasing his forthcoming project “LUV Is Rage 2” for what seems like forever. After the release of a few singles earlier this year with XO Tour Life proving to be a standout, the Philadelphia rapper has been on a rampage of live performances while his streaming numbers are stacking up tremendously.
Luv Is RAGE 2®??

The previously mentioned “All my friends are dead” single has gained over 216 million plays on Spotify alone, with You Was Right holding down a steady spot at number two with over 146 million streams. These are unquestionably the most impressive streaming numbers from any up-and-comer, and may just be holding back the sequel to Uzi’s 2015 classic; but it’s completely understandable.
Shit, if you’re gaining millions of plays every month without dropping any new music, what’s the point? Shouldn’t you let the current material build as much as possible before taking the risk of unleashing new tunes?
Uzi’s longtime affiliate DJ Drama seems to agree, as he told the Everyday Struggle crew “the streams are doing amazing” when presented with a question regarding “LUV Is Rage 2″‘s release during an interview at the BET Awards. Adding a cryptic “It’s coming” to the conversation, it looks as if Uzi’s team is well aware of the anticipation.
Stay tuned for more information regarding the release of “LUV Is Rage 2.”
