Chengdu-based rap star, Melo, connects with fellow Higher Brothers member, KnowKnow, for a new single and video, “Daili.” The track is the second single from Melo’s upcoming debut solo album, Old Master, which is set to release April 21st via 88rising, distributed by 12Tone Music. “Daili,” which translates to “agent” in English, references Melo’s international proxies who spread Higher Brothers’ music and Melo’s Orange Dragon brand throughout the world. In the Feng Liang-directed video, Melo and the rest of the Higher Brothers crew burn rubber and make cash drops as they oversee their thriving business empire. “Daili” follows up Melo’s grunge-inspired video for "Born Like This" which released earlier this month and showcased Melo’s most raw and powerful form. Following recent solo albums from Higher Brothers KnowKnow and Masiwei, Melo is setting himself apart with a more gritty and hard-hitting style.
