Chaos broke out in England last night as a suicide bomber allegedly detonated a bomb outside of the Manchester Arena following a sold out performance from American pop star Ariana Grande. The cowardly attack was the deadliest on British soil since the bombing of London’s transportation system in 2005, which left 52 people dead. The death toll is currently sitting at 22 for Monday night’s bombing, with a few dozen victims remaining in critical condition.

Though the story is still developing, here are 10 fast (and 100% confirmed) facts to get you caught up on the horrific incident.

    1. The confirmed death toll sits at 22.
    2. At least 59 victims are currently being treated at hospital, dozens remain in critical condition.
    3. An Improvised Explosive Device (said to be “homemade”) was detonated at approximately 10:33pm outside of the Manchester Arena box office, just a few moments after the concert was finished.
    4. Police have identified the deceased bomber as Manchester-born, 22 year-old Salman Abedi (not yet confirmed by a coroner).
    5. Abedi lived with his parents, 3.5 miles from the scene.
    6. There have been two arrests made in relation to the attack, including a 23 year-old male.
    7. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack via its official telegram channel, saying “One of the soldiers of the caliphate was able to place an explosive device within a gathering of the crusaders in the city of Manchester.”
    8. The identity of two victims has been confirmed; 8 year-old Saffie Rose Roussos and 18 year-old Georgina Callander.
    9. Attacker is said to be a “lone wolf,” acting without any assistance. This looks as if it may change…
    10. Ariana Grande responded with a Tweet, reading: “broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don’t have words.”
